My name is Steve Shead and I created this site. This is a place where I can test and develop the WordPress themes and templates that I design and develop. I love to create, be it websites, graphic designs, themes, templates, and even music – in fact, I’ve always loved to create, I just never had the digital platform to create on.
In my real world I am an executive in Information Technology, currently in the retail industry. Formerly from the semi-conductor / super computer industries I took a step into unknown territory for the challenge and the experience, to widen my knowledge base, and to work for Peet’s Coffee & Tea – Google us – we have history!
Being a novice developer was getting to be frustrating. Since I was doing advanced design, including graphics, I thought it was about time I had a sandbox – and here it is! In the most simplistic of thoughts – there are those that do design, and there are those that do coding, and then there are those that do both – that would be me. Not being full time at this it took a while to work to a point of comfort – I guess I’m getting there now.
I’m thinking this is a place where I can test online, as opposed to testing on MAMP Pro on my Mac. It could also be a staging area for designs that I’m working on for others. I guess I haven’t set in stone what it will end up being – perhaps I never will!
So, in a nutshell, that is what I’m all about, and what this website is all about – either way it will be fun for me, and, isn’t that where it all starts? Welcome, come on in, make yourself comfortable and stay a while…
